After this morning’s community trip to the cinema–courtesy of Lex Veldhuis, who booked an entire theatre for a private screening of Joker–it got us thinking about movie poster taglines.
If today’s Streamer Showdown needed one, it might read a little something like this:
Six finalists. One Platinum Pass. Winner takes all.
It tells you everything you need to know, without giving away the plot.
Here’s a bit of background though.
A few weeks ago we held a Streamer Showdown live on Twitch, in which PokerStars Ambassadors Lex Veldhuis, Fintan Hand, Benjamin Spragg, Felix Schneiders, Nick Walsh, and Arlie Shaban played an online Sit&Go. Viewers at home had to bet on who they thought would win, and if their guy came out on top, they would win entry into a freeroll.
When Spraggy won it, everyone who bet on him then duked it out to win one of six trips to London for Lex Live 2, where they will now be playing for a Platinum Pass.
That brings you up to speed.
LEX LIVE 2: FULL SCHEDULE | ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW | GUIDE TO LONDON | ALL COVERAGE
SPRAGGY WINS THE FU FLIP | ‘DAMMO_23’ INTERVIEW | WELCOME PARTY PHOTO GALLERY | POKER IN THE EARS PODCAST | HIGH ROLLERS IN TOWN | LEX LIVE ADVENTURE | MEET THE QUALIFIERS
So, what’s going to happen today?
Our six finalists are here at Aspers Casino to play a six-man Sit&Go, and from 2pm BST you’ll be able to tune in live and find out which one of them will win a Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) 2020, worth roughly $30,000.
They are:
Patrick Winterbottom (UK)
Asif Warris (UK)
Veselin Marinov (Belgium)
Nico Schönfelder (Germany)
Geoffrey Babington (UK)
Robert Bencsik (Germany)
When the Streamer Showdown is over and the Platinum Pass has been awarded, we’ll then be streaming some community Sit&Gos, so stay tuned for those.
